Energy companies were priced to fail in 2020, but some analysts believe that in reality, large cap integrated energy companies are already trending away from brown energy towards “olive,” and will emerge as fully green within a few years.
The Covid-19 pandemic was one driving force behind this change, as oil prices collapsed in early 2020, causing accelerated and compressed strategic planning for these integrated energy companies. Plans that would have normally taken 10 years to develop were implemented in the past 10 months, which will inevitably accelerate the transformation of the top integrated energy companies.
Banco Santander’s Head of Pan-European Oil, Gas & Integrated Energy Equity Research, Jason Kenney, will join Visible Alpha to discuss his views on the accelerated transformation of the integrated energy industry regionally and globally. Visible Alpha will present the market view of the industry to further illustrate Jason’s insights and perspectives.
